ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
All applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited institution. Students who have not completed undergraduate degrees in Theology, Philosophy, or Religious Studies will be required to take noncredit Graduate Level Introductory Studies.
Upon initial acceptance in the Master of Arts Program, the student is considered to be a nonmatriculated participant until completing six credits in basic theology at the Seminary with an earned grade average of “B” or better. At that point, the student’s performance is reviewed, and the status of matriculation as a candidate for the Master of Arts degree is, in most cases, granted. A minimum of a “B” average must be maintained while pursuing the degree.
Students admitted to the Master of Arts candidacy will be allowed a period of five years to complete the requirements for the degree. An extension of time may be granted for a legitimate reason upon receipt of a written request addressed to the Academic Dean.
