Library@Seminary The library's mission is to participate in the formation of future priests and lay ministers by supporting the educational and formational goals of the seminary. It helps foster some of the seminary's core values such as academic excellence, respect, hospitality, diversity and collaboration.

The library supports the degree programs offered by providing a wide range of material in theology and related fields.  Holdings include: over 50,000 monographs and bound periodicals, four online databases, over 250 journal subscriptions, and over 800 audiovisual items. The seminary also owns a special collection of approximately 4,000 old and rare books, which are housed in the Bonaventure Room.

The library's primary users are the administration, faculty and currently-enrolled students of the seminary but also include other constituents of the Catholic community on Long Island.  We participate in the Resource Loan Program through the Long Island Library Resources Council.  Visitors are welcome and may call ahead for an appointment.

HOURS: The seminary library is open evenings and weekends when classes are in session, but hours do vary.  Please check our posted hours or call the library at (631) 423-0483 ext. 141.
